Free weather alerts

Tornado and flash flood warnings on your phone, for the places you care about

AtmosDays watches the National Weather Service for you and sends a notification within minutes when a warning covers your home, your jobs or any place you add. No app to install: it works in your phone or computer's browser.

  • Tornado, severe thunderstorm, flash flood, snow squall and dust storm warnings, plus tornado and severe thunderstorm watches.
  • Matched to the warning box forecasters draw around the storm, not just the county.
  • Tells you what matters: tornado seen or radar indicated, hail size, wind gusts, damage threat and emergencies.
  • Free on every plan. Plus and Pro add email alerts and 1 to 3 day heads-ups for storms, freezes and heat.

Questions

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes, on iOS 16.4 or later: open AtmosDays in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and turn alerts on from the Home Screen icon. Android phones, Windows, Mac and Chromebook computers work straight from Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.

How fast are the alerts?

AtmosDays checks the National Weather Service every 5 minutes, so an alert usually arrives within a few minutes of the warning. Phones can also silence or delay notifications. Never rely on one app alone: keep Wireless Emergency Alerts on, and a NOAA weather radio where storms are common.

Why is it free?

The warnings come from the National Weather Service, and browser notifications cost nothing to send. AtmosDays makes its money from weather records and reports for contractors, adjusters and field crews.

Will I get alerts for the whole county?

Not for warnings: those are matched to the box drawn around the storm, so a warning on the far side of a big county stays quiet. Watches are issued for whole counties and are matched that way.
